Millennium Cross Skopje – Panoramic Views from Vodno Mountain

The Millennium Cross is a towering steel cross located atop Vodno Mountain, overlooking the city of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Built to commemorate 2,000 years of Christianity in Macedonia and worldwide, this impressive structure stands approximately 66 meters (217 ft) tall. It is both a significant religious symbol and a popular tourist attraction, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Skopje and its surrounding landscapes.

Visitors can reach the Millennium Cross by taking the cable car from Sredno Vodno, which provides a scenic and convenient way to access the summit. Sredno Vodno itself is accessible by a 1.5-hour walk or via the “Panoramic Bus” from Skopje’s railway station, passing through the city center. The cable car ride offers stunning views of the mountain and city as you ascend.

Opening Hours:
Tuesday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Closed on Mondays and the last Tuesday of every month.

According to the April 2024 timetable, the last cable car ride from the bottom to the top is between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM, and the last ride down is at 5:45 PM.
