About the Museum
The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle was established by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in 2008, with construction beginning the same year. It officially opened on 8 September 2011, commemorating the 20th anniversary of Macedonia’s independence.
The museum covers approximately 6,435 square metres, including around 2,000 square metres of exhibition space dedicated to presenting the country’s modern historical development.
