Skopje is getting ready for nine days of energy, movement and international spirit.
From 21 to 29 September 2026, the city will host the IDO European Dance Championship 2026, welcoming more than 2,900 dancers from across Europe to T-Arena at the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center.
For visitors, the championship will be much more than a competition. It will be a chance to experience Skopje at its liveliest – with thousands of international guests discovering the city’s food, cafés, culture, landmarks and unmistakable local atmosphere.
One of the most memorable moments will be the Parade of Nations on 25 September at 14:30, when participating countries and dancers will come together in a vibrant celebration of friendship, diversity and cultural exchange. Senior state representatives, diplomatic delegations and ambassadors are also expected to attend.
The event places Skopje on the international dance map and gives the city another opportunity to show what it does best: welcome people, create memorable experiences and bring different cultures together.
Whether you are coming for the competition or simply visiting the city, late September will be a special time to experience Skopje.
