Stone Bridge

The Stone Bridge (Kamen Most) is located right across Macedonia Square. It is a beautiful stone bridge that connects the two banks of the Vardar River, which is also the largest river in Macedonia.

The stone bridge in Skopje was originally built on Roman foundations and was destroyed and reconstructed several times throughout history, but retaining its original architectural style.

The bridge is considered a symbol of Skopje and is the main element of the city’s coat of arms, which in turn is incorporated into the city’s flag. It is located in the municipality of Centar and connects Macedonia Square with the Old Bazaar.
