Kapan Han

Kapan Han is a historic caravanserai situated in the heart of Skopje – in Old Bazaar. It was built in the mid-15th century by Bosnian general Isa-Beg Isaković, ruler of Skopsko Krajište, in order to provide a regular source of income for his endowment (vakuf).

Today, Kapan Han has been restored and transformed into a vibrant cultural and shopping complex. Visitors can explore its atmospheric courtyards and arcades, which house a variety of artisanal shops, galleries, cafes, and restaurants. It offers a unique blend of historical architecture and contemporary amenities, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike to immerse themselves in Skopje’s rich cultural heritage.
