The Millennium Cross is a large cross located on top of Vodno Mountain overlooking the city of Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. It was built to commemorate 2,000 years of Christianity in Macedonia and the world. The cross itself is about 66-metre (217 ft) tall and is made of steel. The Millennium Cross on Mount Vodno can be reached by cable car that leads from Sredno VodnoSredno Vodno to the top of the mountain. While Sredno Vodno can be reached by walking (about 1 hour and 30 min.), by bus (public transport) “Panoramic Bus” which departs from the railway station, passes through the city center and drives to Sredno Vodno. The cable car provides visitors with a convenient and scenic way to reach the Millennium Cross and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and its surroundings.
